Saturday Chats

Happy Saturday! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a coffee chats. If you’re new here I pick a topic and we discuss our thoughts and ideas. It’s fun to learn other peoples views on something.

For today I thought we’d discuss protein powder. I have been taking protein powder for about 3 years. I always take it right after I get done with a workout. I’ve tried many different brands and flavors. I’ve tried good and bad tasting protein.

My husband said to me yesterday that I should stop taking protein powder because with my workouts it doesn’t help. Now I disagree with that statement. I do a lot of HIIT (high intensity interval training), kettlebell and full body toning. I use weights and booty bands but all my workouts are done at home. I don’t have super heavy weights, which is ok. I still feel like what I do is very effective. I feel like it helps me recover a bit and I just like the taste.

What do you think about protein powder? Are you for it or think it’s not important? If you like what’s your favorite brand?

There are no right or wrong answers here. I’m just genuinely curious.

I plan on doing a bit of research and finding out what protein powders do for the body. I’m very curious if it’s worth the money. If you’d like me to share what I learn I’d be happy to do so!
